JUNIOR CAMPUS - FEATURES

Cayuga's natural landscape divides 350 acres into two separate campuses on the same estate. This is a unique feature that distinguishes Cayuga from other traditional summer camps! Each campus is located on opposite sides of our lake and operates self-sufficiently with its own Dining Hall, Gymnasium, Art Center, Swimming Pool, Activity Sites, and Infirmary. Junior Campus houses approximately 120 girls and 120 boys. Campers entering 7th grade or lower, and campers entering 8th grade who are 12 years of age reside on Junior Campus. In addition, campers entering 8th grade who are 13 years old (eligible for Teen Campus) can opt to reside on Junior Campus. The Junior Campus Program was created & designed to satisfy the needs and interests of this particular age group. The daily activity offerings, evening programs, and special events focus solely on these interests (which are different from those on Teen Campus). Having their “own campus without the big kids” is the popular answer given by our campers when asked what they liked best about Junior Campus.

JUST THE RIGHT SIZE
Rather than operating one large camp for all campers (like most summer camps), Cayuga operates two smaller campuses: one campus for our youngsters and the other for our teens. On each campus you'll find the camper population to be just the right size! We’re large enough to provide a challenging and varied camp program that caters to each and every age group. At the same time, we’re small enough to allow our entire staff to know your child personally. We believe our small camper population on each campus maintains the family atmosphere that characterizes Camp Cayuga.
