Hershey Amusement Park is rated the #1 Amusement Park in the Northeast by Family Fun Magazine.  It features over 60 rides and attractions, including 10 thrilling roller coasters, 6 drenching water rides, and over two dozen kiddie rides for our Junior campers.  Hershey Park offers a variety of rides that range from mild to wild, so you're guaranteed fun whether you like low-speed gentle rides or aggressive high-speed rides. They're all quite thrilling!  We've described below the most popular rides our campers have enjoyed in the past.

THRILL RIDES:
Storm Runner
Prepare for the exhilaration of Storm Runner - the spectacular high-speed launch coaster (0 - 72mph in approx. 2 seconds) featuring a 180-feet, 90-degree drop reaching speeds up to 75mph and incorporating a Cobra Loop, Top Hat, Flying Snake Dive and Barrel Rolls.
Great Bear
Great Bear is an exhilarating, looping, inverted steel coaster.  You ride below the track, not above it.  The ride starts by lifting you 90 feet off the ground, then reaches speeds up to 61mph as it rips down the track through an Immelman Loop, crosses the SooperDooperLooper and does an "S" turn before returning to earth.

SooperDooperLooper
The first looping roller coaster on the East Coast, this thrilling steel roller coaster really sends riders for a loop.  Reaching speeds up to 45mph, this is a high-speed experience.  Riders will experience many unexpected, rapid changes in speed, direction and/or elevation and requires rider full body control.
Lightning Racer
The first wooden racing/dueling coaster in the United States, Lightning Racer is a double-track wooden roller coaster with two staggered lifts approximately 90 feet for each lift.  Reaching speeds up to 50mph, this is a high-speed experience with unexpected changes in speed, direction and/or elevation. This ride may contain significant twists, bumps, spins, and loops, and requires rider full body control.

WATER RIDES:
Hershey Park features some of the best water rides you'll ever experience!  We've described below some of the water rides that have been most popular with our campers.

Canyon River Rapids
You are guaranteed to get drenched during this white-water adventure that winds through five acres of canyon walls and waterfalls. This is a faced-paced ride experience with unexpected changes in speed, direction, and elevation.  This ride includes significant twists, bumps, and spins, and requires rider full body control. It's rated as a "High Thrill" ride!
Coal Cracker
This is a hydroflume boat ride that gives you a soaking wet ride full of splashes through water canals, ending with one big plunge.  Reaching speeds up to 40mph, this is a faced-paced rider experience with unexpected changes in speed, direction, and elevation.  This ride has a lot of twists and turns, and is rated as a "High Thrill" ride.

Roller Soaker
This ride is the ultimate aerial water experience. It features water squirt guns, water sprayers, and spurting geysers. You’ll be able to actually dump up to four gallons of water on your counselors & cabinmates (spectators) below, whenever you choose. But at the same time, your counselors & cabinmates can direct huge water sprayers at you while on the ride. The Roller Soaker offers a drenching interaction for everyone! This is a medium speed ride where you’ll experience unexpected changes in elevation and speed. The ride also contains moderate twists, turns, bumps, and spins. It’s a lot of fun!

THE BOARDWALK AT HERSHEY PARK:
The Boardwalk at Hershey Park features five distinctive water attractions, including East Coast Waterworks, the largest water play structure in the world!   The Boardwalk is a tribute to the legendary beaches of the Northeast including Atlantic City, Ocean City, Coney Island, and Rehoboth Beach.  It's a day at an Amusement Park and a trip to the Beach - all in one!  We’ve listed the 6 attractions below.
East Coast Waterworks
This is the largest water-play structure in the world. It’s the centerpiece attraction to “The Boardwalk” at Hershey Park.  East Coast Waterworks features 7 slides, 2 crawl tunnels, nearly 600 interactive water toys, and more than 54,000 gallons of wet, refreshing fun for all ages.  You can pull ropes, tip cones, and cross bridges as you explore each watery level.  With 7 slides ranging from 6 feet to 4 stories high, a splashy adventure is guaranteed!  This is a medium speed ride that requires some body control due to unexpected changes in elevation and speed.
Coastline Plunge
Imagine standing 50 feet above the ground with only one way to go down!  Prepare to plunge down a snaking tube filled with water!  Coastline Plunge features 4 invigorating water slides, each one funneling you down its watery chute in a uniquely exhilarating fashion, eventually splashing you to one of two refreshing pools below!
Sandcastle Cove
Sandcastle Cove provides water-fun for younger campers.  You’ll marvel at the giant sandcastle while you dash to explore the water slides, cannons, water curtains, jets, and pool that surround it.  With an average depth of nine inches and a zero depth entry pool, Sandcastle Cove offers younger campers a safe, fun and memorable experience.
Waverider
Get on the board, catch a wave, and show us what you've got.  The Waverider tests your skills as you sit and surf the waves.  Two surfers go head-to-head in this friendly surfing competition.  This is a fast-paced ride experience with unexpected changes in speed, direction, and elevation.  This ride may contain significant twists, turns, bumps, spins, and loops, and requires rider full body control.
Bayside Pier
Bayside Pier offers a cool sanctuary to float the day away.  Enjoy how the gentle, lapping waves ripple ever-so-gently, as you relax in the water.  Bayside Pier is perfect for both cooling off and soaking in the sun with an average depth of 18".

THE CHOCOLATE WORLD:
Step into a world that’s bursting with excitement and sweetness at Hershey's Chocolate World.  Learn about the process of making chocolate on Hershey’s “Chocolate Making” Tour Ride.  It features updated scenes, animated characters, innovative special effects and a spectacular finale.  Your tour begins in the tropical rain forest where cocoa beans grow.  As the beans are harvested, follow their journey across the ocean to America, where they are delivered to “The Sweetest Place on Earth” - Hershey, Pennsylvania!  Then, engage your senses as the cocoa beans continue through a simulated “Hershey’s” chocolate factory.  Here you will see, feel, and hear the processes that deliciously transform the beans into milk chocolate.  It’s an exciting and informative immersive experience…and it ends with a free sample!
